DDoS Mitigation Service

SINET6 provides a new service, called the DDoS mitigation service, which performs automatic protection from distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks.
The previous versions of SINET made packet discard settings on the basis of applications from SINET member institutions in response to DDoS attacks they have detected. It took several hours or more from application to completion of the setting. This new service performs monitoring of IP addresses subject to DDoS attack detection and control that are requested in advance.
On detecting a DDoS attack, it automatically sets packet filters within about 10 seconds.
It is also available in monitoring mode without filtering.

The DDoS mitigation service makes its attack detection results viewable on a real-time basis on the dedicated service portal in the Web browser. The service portal will help users not only check the detection and control of DDoS attacks but also perform verification and analysis.
